this indenture made the 27.4.1733 etc between Eliz Clifford of London spinster of the one part and Eliz Clifford of London widow mother of the said Eliz Clifford of the other part witnesseth that the said Eliz Clifford spinster for and in consideration of the sum of 5s of lawful money of Great Britain to her the said Eliz Clifford spinster in hand paid by the said Eliz Clifford widow at or before the ensealing and delivery of these presents to the receipt whereof the said Eliz Clifford spinster doth hereby acknowledge and thereof doth acquit and discharge the said Eliz Clifford the widow her heirs executors administrators and assigns hath bargained and sold and by these presents do bargain and sell unto the said Eliz Clifford widow all that messuage or tenement heretofore called or known by the name of Thredgolds with all and every the orchards yards gardens backsides barns stables outhouses and one croft of land called Grapwells thereunto adjoining with all commons common and pasture ways waters and watercourses profits commodities and appurtenances whatsoever to the said messuage or tenement land and premises belonging or appertaining all which said premises are situate lying and being in the parish of Earls Colne in the county of Essex and were formerly in the tenure or occupation of the rev Jn Franklyn and now or late of the rev Stringer and the reversion and reversions remainder and remainders rents issues and profits of all and singular the said premises and every part and parcel thereof to have and to hold the said messuage or tenement and croft of land and premises hereinbefore mentioned to be hereby bargained and sold or intended so to be with their and every of their appurtenances unto the said Eliz Clifford the widow her executors administrators and assigns from the day next before the day of the date of these presents for and during and unto the full end and term of one whole year from thence next ensuing and fully to be complete and ended yielding and paying there for on the last day of the said term hereby granted unto the said Eliz Clifford spinster her heirs and assigns the rent of one peppercorn only if the same shall be demanded to the intent and purpose that by virtue of these presents and of the statute for transferring uses into possession the said Eliz Clifford the widow may be in the actual possession of the said premises and thereby enabled to have take and receive a grant and release# of the reversion and inheritance thereof to her her heirs and assigns forever in such sort manner and form as in and by one indenture of release intended to bear date the day next after the date of these presents the same premises shall be granted and released in witness whereof the parties first above named to these present indentures interchangeably have set their hands and seals the day and year first above written Eliz Clifford junior (outside) sealed and delivered being first duly stamped in the presence of Thos Hopkins junior and Jn Studley#
