of Staple Inn Middx gentleman the full sum of 30li in part payment of a more sum due to me for the purchase of the site and demesnes of the late dissolved house and priory or monastery of blessed mary the virgin and st jn the evangelist of Colne Comitis alias Earls Colne in the county of Essex and also for the purchase of the manor or lordship of Colne Priory together with other things mentioned in a pair of indentures of bargain and sale betwixt me the said earl and the said
