Rich Porter of Great Tey in the county of Essex yeo where he had lived for fourteen years or thereabouts witness etc freely etc he said and deposed as follows to the allegations and testament exhibited he said and deposed that upon the day of the date of the will exhibited whereupon he is now examined he this deponent dwelling then in Feering in the county abovesaid was sent for to come to the house of the said testator situate in Much Tey abovesaid to write this will exhibited when and where he saith after he had received instructions and directions from the said testator for the writing thereof he wrote it accordingly and when he had finished the same will he read it over to the said testator who hearing all the contents therein and understanding the same did very well approve thereof and did ratify and acknowledge the same for his last will and testament and in consideration of the premises did set his mark and seal to the same being contained in one sheet of paper and delivered the same and approved the same for his last will in the presence of him this deponent Wm Lurkin Geo Cramer and Jn Kinge who subscribed their names and which said Lurkin and Cramor subscribed their marks thereto which this deponent did consign and the said King did write his own name thereto as witnesses as by the said will more at large doth appear but he saith that he this deponent did not set his name thereto because he was made supervisor by the said testator of his said testament and hath 10s given him therein for a legacy and further he saith that the said testator at all the premises was of perfect mind and memory and spake and talked sensibly and lastly he saith and deposeth that the said testator did will bequeath and devise all and singular the legacies quests and bequests in the said will contained which be not altered or changed in any part since the death of the said testator and this he well knoweth to be true because at the time of this his examination he seeth the said will exhibited which he knoweth to be the said will which was so sealed and delivered by the said testator for it is all the proper hand writing of him this deponent and further he does not know to depose Rich Porter Robt Aylett
