Wm Catt of Earls Colne detected by the wardens for the begetting of Joan Clemens with child as it is reported he appeared personally mr Adams the vicar there and alleged the said Joan Clements laid the child unto one Jn Ludham of the same and afterwards being on oath he was examined and then the said Catt was examined and denied the fact but admitted the fame and he was absolved and restored and therefore the judge dismissed him with a warning owes 3s2d paid 3s2d
