Jn Cutler of Earls Colne detected by the wardens for taking of two old bell ropes out of the steeple and using them and in his using of them broke one of them then he did carry it to the knacker he admitted and said that he hath during the time of his office used the same ropes and that they are upon the bells and do use them he is dismissed since it has been certified that the bell ropes are very well left by the hands of the said Cutler under the hands of mr Harlakenden and mr Church and mr Rich Harlakenden 12d and 12d
