in the name of god amen 15.3.1563 I Jn Mallery of Earls Colne in the county of Essex and in the diocese of London being sick in body but wholly of mind and memory make my testament and last will in manner following first I bequeath my soul unto the hands of the holy trinity and my body to be buried in the churchyard of Earls Colne aforesaid I give and bequeath my body being honestly brought to the ground my funeral expenses charged and my debts paid all my movable goods to be divided amongst my four daughters that is to say Jane Crystian Eliz and Ursely part and part alike item I will and give my house and lands thereto now belong both free and copy to my son Rich Mallery to have to him his heirs and assigns forever when he cometh to his age of twenty five years paying to every one of my said four daughters 5li within three years next and immediately ensuing his entering to the said house and land and if my said son chance to die before he safely accomplish his said twenty five years then I will my said house and lands and the appurtenances shall be sold by trusty friends Rich Ennowes and Jn Warde their heirs and assigns for the best price and of the money coming thereof to be given to every of my said daughters 10li and any of them to be others heir and if my daughter Crystian be able at that time to buy it I will she shall have it 20nobles within the price of this my testament and last will I make my said son Rich Malory and my said daughter Crystian executors and also I make my friends Rich Ennowes and Jn Warde supervisors of the same and governors of my said daughters to see them well brought up and I give to the said Rich Ennoes and Jn Warde full power and authority by virtue of this my will to sell and let my said house and lands at their discretion to my son come to his years of twenty one and to sell of my goods for the payment of my debts and also charge as they shall think good bestowing yearly upon reparations 25s8d and paying the lord's rent and the residue of the premises to be employed to the use of my said daughters in witness hereof Jn Petfeld Hen Somersham Jn Lefingwell and others
