in the name of god amen the 18.6.1566 I Rich Woode of Earls Colne in the county of Essex and in the diocese of London being sick in body but of good and perfect remembrance do make my testament and last will in manner following first I bequeath my soul to the blessed trinity the father the son and the holy ghost and my body to be buried in the churchyard of Earls Colne aforesaid item I bequeath to my sister Margt Woode a noble or a nobles worth the residue of my small goods I give wholly to my brother Jn Woode whom I make my executor to take up my debts and to pay my debts keep me for the time and bring my body to the earth these being witnesses Jn Petfield vicar there Robt Peerson with others
