in the name of god amen the 25.3.1568 I Margt Game of Earls Colne in the county of Essex and diocese of London widow being sick in body but of good remembrance thanks be to god do ordain and make my testament and last will in manner and form following first I bequeath my soul to almighty god etc my body to be buried etc item I bequeath to my daughter Margt Harte my chamber that I now lie in with all things therein item I bequeath to Eliz a brass pot and four pewter dishes item I bequeath to Benet Watson 20s item I will and give my house that I now dwell in with the appurtenances the croft and the meadow adjoining to the same to Nich Game my son and to the heirs of his body lawfully begotten and for lack of such heirs to remain to my daughter Margt Harte and to her heirs forever item I will and give my two tenements adjoining to my headhouse with a garden belonging there to my said daughter Margt Harte and to her heirs forever I will that my daughter Jone Ellys shall have her dwelling in one of the said tenements so long as she shall keep her sole and unmarried item I give to my said daughter Margt Harte all that my moiety of the lands called Jonnings and Pippings Croft to have to her and her heirs forever the residue of all my goods corn chattels and plate movable and unmovable I give and bequeath to my said son Nich and to my said daughter Margt equally to be parted between them and I make the said Nich and Margt my executors to see my debts and legacies paid my will performed and my body honestly brought to the ground these being witnesses Jn Petfield vicar there Jn Ward Jn Burton Wm Carter and others
