in the name of god amen the 4.5.1574 I Hen Somersom of Earls Colne in the county of Essex yeoman being whole of mind and in good and perfect memory laud and praise be to almighty god make and ordain this my present testament containing therein my last will in manner and form following first I bequeath my soul to almighty god and my body to be buried where it shall please the lord item I give to the poor people of Earls Colne 2s item I give to Wm Deverell my daughter's child at 21yr of age 40s item I give to Marge Deverell my daughter's child at 21yr of age 40s item I give to Jane my daughter that cow that Geo my son gave her all the rest of my goods ungiven I give to Marge my wife and Jn my son to be equally divided between them item I will that if Marge my wife and Jn my son do not agree well together that then Robt Read whom I make the supervisor of my will to be mediator between them item I will to this my last will and testament Marge my wife and Jn my son executors and Robt Read supervisor witnesses to this will and testament Wm Adhams clerk Robt Pearson Robt Reade Robt Ennowes made by the said Hen Somersom with his own hand made he the said Hen Somersom did owe unto one Cooke of Potterron the sum of 5li
