in the name of god amen in the 1585 etc. I Cecily Turner of Earls Colne in the county of Essex widow being sick in body but whole in mind and of good remembrance do make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner and form so following first I bequeath my soul to almighty god and my body to be buried in the churchyard of Earls Colne aforesaid item I give and bequeath to my son Simon Turner in Earls Colne aforesaid three flockbeds two bolsters seven sheets four coverlets two blankets a joined chest three hutches a frying pan a trammel nine platters two pewter dishes three saucers two salt cellars four kettles two bigger and two less a joined chairs a skillet 2lb of flax a joined table with a frame etc I give and bequeath to my daughter Emme a brass pot of a gallon more or less with a pair of pot hooks which pot and pot hooks I did lend to my son Edw and in his hands they do remain item I make my executor to this my last will and testament my son Simon Turner mark Ceciley Turner witnesses to this my last will and testament Jeff Cavise Wm Dreyne Geo Garrard
