of Colne Engaine in the county of Essex yeoman being sick in body but of good and perfect memory thanks be to god I do ordain and make this my last will and testament in manner and form following first I commend my soul into the hands of my maker hoping in the only merits of christ my saviour to be made partaker of life everlasting and I commend my body to the earth whereof I was made and to be decently buried in the parish churchyard of Colne Engaine item I do give and bequeath unto

my eldest son 10s to be paid out of my goods and chattels item I do give and bequeath unto

my wife the full sum of 70li of good and lawful money of England to be paid out of my goods and chattels item I do give and bequeath all the rest of my goods and chattels to be equally divided part and part like amongst the rest of my children as well to that or them in the womb of the mother which is not yet born as to them which are already born which are
