in the name of god amen I Robt Browne of Earls Colne in the county of Essex yeoman being sick in body but of good and perfect mind and memory do make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner following first I give my body to the earth from whence it was taken to be buried at the discretion of my executrix hereafter named my soul I commit to god my saviour the giver thereof my worldly goods which the lord hath bestowed upon me I dispose thereof as followeth imprimis my will and mind is that my debts and funeral charges be well and truly paid by my executrix and I do give and bequeath unto my executrix three fields or parcels of land commonly called or known by the name of Dobbs Croft Butterfield and Hopyard and Coen Piece all of these containing 15a more or less lying in Sible Henningham and belonging to my farm there to be sold by her for discharge of my debts and funeral charges item I give and bequeath unto my wife Mary all the rest and residue of my lands together with my farm house all which are situate and lying in Sibill Henningham aforesaid with all and every the appurtenances and during the term of her natural life part whereof is her jointure item I give and bequeath my said lands last bequeathed after the death of my said wife unto my brothers Jas and Barth and my sister     Onyon to be equally divided amongst them and after their deceases I do give and bequeath my said lands unto my nephews their children that is to say to Jas and Hannah the children of my brother Jas Barth Robt and Thos the children of my brother Barth and Thos and Martha Onyon the children of my sister Onyon and to every of them equally to be divided amongst them share and share alike and my will and desire is that when my said farm and lands so bequeathed to my said nephews shall come to be sold that it be purchased by some of brothers or sister or their children item the rest and residue of my goods and chattels unbequeathed I do hereby give and bequeath the same unto my wife Mary who I do hereby nominate and make my full and sole executrix of this my will and testament desiring her to see the same fulfilled and I do hereby declare and publish this to be my last will and testament revoking all former wills by me heretofore made in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 14 .10.1652 Robt Browne sealed delivered and published in the presence G Cressener Ralph Josselin Xoph Matthewes
