memorandum that I Wm May of Great Maplested do make my will in this manner first I devise that Martha my wife do sell my lands in Baddow and my copyhold lands holden of the manor of Hedingham Upland and the tenement called Whitehouse in the occupation of Isaac Dines and the lands thereto adjoining or belonging and the tenement I bought of Rich Parr and my wood and wood ground in Great Maplested for and towards the payment of my debts and redeeming of my mortgaged lands and tenements but if I should die before I surrender my Baddow lands to the use of my will then she to sell Millfield and Roves Garden and with other lands she shall think fit being not her jointure lands and I make my wife executrix dated the 11.11.1680 Wm May his mark signed sealed and published in the presence of us Nich Jekyll Ann Paske Joanna Kingsley her mark
