of Earls Colne in the county of Essex yeoman being sick and weak of body but of perfect mind and memory thanks be given to god for the same do make and ordain this present writing to be my last will and testament in manner and form following first and principally I commend my soul into the hands of god my maker hoping through the merits of jesus christ my saviour and redeemer to receive the same again at the general resurrection and my body to the earth from whence it was taken to be buried in christian sepulchre according to the discretion of my executrix hereafter named and as touching such worldly goods as god in his mercy have lent me I give and dispose as followeth item I give and bequeath unto
Ann Wade
my loving wife and to her heirs and assigns forever all that my copyhold messuage or tenement with the yards and backsides thereunto belonging with one croft of land with all and singular the appurtenances called or known by the name of
Humphryes
lying and being in Earls Colne aforesaid and now in the tenure or occupation of
Jn Scofeild
or his assigns which said croft of land is called by the name of
Chalkney Crofte
both which are holden on the manor of Colne Priory to her the said

her heirs and assigns forever as aforesaid item I give and bequeath unto
Wm Wade
my son 1s to be paid by my executrix hereafter named within one month next after my decease item I give and bequeath unto

two other of my sons 1s apiece to be paid them by my executrix hereafter named within one month next after my decease item all the rest of my goods and chattels household stuff and implements of household cattle corn and hay debts bills bonds ready money and all things else whatsoever moveable and immovable quick and dead I give and bequeath unto

my said wife as aforesaid I do hereby make and ordain the said

my loving wife as aforesaid sole executrix to this my last will and testament not doubting of her performance of the same and I do hereby revoke annul and make void all former and other wills by me heretofore made ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my last will and testament in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day month and year first above written sealed delivered published and declared to be the last will and testament of the testator in the presence of us and we in the presence of him these words I give and bequeath unto
