in the name of god amen I Susanna Newton of Earls Colne in the county of Essex widow being sick in body but of sound and perfect memory thanks be given to almighty god for the same do make this my last will and testament in manner following item I give and bequeath unto my daughter Susannah Newton and her heirs forever all my houses lands whatsoever and wheresoever both freehold and copyhold with all and every of their appurtenances and all my goods and chattels whatsoever within doors and without except one trundle bedstead as it now stands with the bed and all things to the same belonging and the spinning wheel stock and reel which I give to my servant Bridget Sach but my will is if my said daughter shall die before she shall accomplish her age of 21yr then I give and bequeath all my said land both freehold and copyhold with the appurtenances to the same belonging unto my two brothers in law Jn Newton and Sam Newton and their heirs forever and also 9li of lawful money of England to be paid within one month next after the decease of my said daughter that is to say 3li to Ann Bly and 3li to Judith Pryor and 3li to Grace Garrard and if any of them should die then my will is the survivor or survivors shall enjoy the said sum of 9li and I do nominate and appoint my brother in law Jn Newton and mr Rich Hayward of Earls Colne aforesaid executors of this my last will and testament and my will is that my executors shall have all charges allowed them that they shall expend about my said will and also deduct to themselves what is reasonable for their trouble and I appoint Jn Morley of Little Maplsted supervisor of this my will and testament revoking all other will or wills whatsoever and I give him for his pains 5li for his pains to be paid him when my daughter shall accomplish her age of 21yr or within one month next after my said daughter's decease in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the 27.4.1690 signed sealed published and declared by the within named Susannah Newton as her last will and testament in the presence of Dan Wilkin Abrm Chrismas Sam Chrismas mark Susannah Newton
