in the name of god amen this 12.4.1699 etc. I Jn Crow of White Colne in the county of Essex yeoman being sick and weak of body but of sound disposing mind and memory thanks be to almighty god for the same do hereby make and ordain this present writing to be my last will and testament in manner and form following item I give and bequeath unto Robt Crow my son and to his heirs forever all the reversion and reversions remainder and remainders and all the estate right title interest claim and demand whatsoever which the said Jn Crow now have or of right ought to have of in or to the copyhold messuage or tenement wherein I now dwell lying and being in White Colne aforesaid item I give and bequeath unto Sam Crow one other of my sons all that my copyhold field or parcel of land lying and being in Earls Colne holden on the said manor by copy of court roll and to his heirs forever upon this condition that he the said Sam my son do and shall after my decease give one general and lawful release or other discharge unto my said executor hereafter named in full of a legacy given unto him the said Sam by his grandmother Ann Day widow late of Earls Colne being the sum of 8li and some odd shillings item I give and bequeath unto Edw Crow one other of my sons all that my freehold piece or parcel of land lying and being in White Colne in the county of Essex called or known by the name of Chappitle with all and singular the appurtenances I give unto him the said Edw and to his heirs forever item I give and bequeath unto Giles Crow Martha Crow one of my daughters and to her heirs forever all that my copyhold messuage or tenement lying and being in Colne Engaine holden on the manor of Shrives with the yards and all other the appurtenances to the same belonging being in the term or occupation of Robt Brumfield or his assigns upon condition hereafter mentioned item I give and bequeath unto Giles Crow one other of my sons all that field or parcel of land lying and being in Colne Engaine called by the name of Bandlies or otherwise and held on the manor of Shrives with all and singular the appurtenances I give to the said Giles my son and to his heirs forever upon condition hereafter mentioned that is to say whereas I am indebted unto Jn Sheley of Black Notley in the county of Essex yeoman my son in law in the sum of 20li upon bond I do therefore by this my present will give and bequeath unto him the said Jn Sheley in lieu and for the full satisfaction of the said 20li all the rest of my goods and chattels cattle hay household stuff and implements of household debts rents due and owing unto me at the time of decease and all other goods whatsoever and further my will and mind is that if the said goods by me to him the said Jn Shelly before by me bequeathed do not amount unto the full sum of 20li as aforesaid that my will and mind is that the said Jn Shelly shall receive and take the rents and profits of that messuage or tenement by me given unto Martha my daughter and also the rents and profits of the field or parcel of land by me before bequeathed unto my son Giles and the same to receive until the said 20li be fully satisfied and I do hereby make the said Jn Shelly sole executor of this my last will and testament containing one sheet of paper to which I have set my hand and seal the day and year above written item I give and bequeath unto Robt Crow my son abovesaid all that my freehold piece or parcel of land called Banlyes lying in Colne Engaine aforesaid unto him the said Robt and his heirs forever sealed and delivered published and declared to be the last will and testament of the testator in the presence of us Mary Savill (may be Mary Savill) Susan Drane Sam Burton Jn Crow
