I Jn Cressener of Earls Colne esq do make and ordain this to be a second codicil to my last will and testament as follows my will and meaning is that my dear and loving wife Eliz shall have all the money which shall be in my house at the time of my decease and do hereby give it for her present expenses and paying my servants wages and my will and mind is that my said loving wife may fell timber for repairs and not otherwise and that my brother may fell timber for the repairs of the mill in my wife's lifetime and that my wife may permit him so to do and my will and mind is that my said loving wife shall not fell any underwood that is not sixteen years growth in witness hereof I do hereunto set my hand and seal this 9.2.1717 Jn Cressener signed sealed and delivered to be a second codicil to my last will and testament in the presence of us Jn Franklyn Margt Carter the mark of Hannah Moss
