in the name of god amen I Dorothy Ludgater of the parish of Earls Colne in the county of Essex widow being of perfect mind and memory thanks be to god for the same do make my last will and testament in manner and form following imprimis I give and bequeath my soul into the hands of almighty god in hopes of eternal life and my body I commit to the earth to be decently buried at the discretion of my executor hereafter named and the personal estate wherewith god hath blessed me I give and bequeath as followeth viz imprimis I give and bequeath unto my loving nephew Jn Buck the sum of 100li paying to Sarah Hubbard the sum of 5li item I give and bequeath unto my loving niece Hannah Bowers the sum of 20li item I give and bequeath unto Sarah Hubbard a lutestring petticoat pair of laid shoes and two pair of silver clasps item I give and bequeath my wedding ring to my nephew Geo Cracknell item I give and bequeath to my daughter Cracknell a piece of broad gold item I give and bequeath my niece Ann Cracknell my stone ring item I give and bequeath unto my dear sister Eliz Buck my niece Hannah Bowers and my nephew Jn Buck the residue of my wearing apparel linen and household goods to be equally divided among them and all the rest and residue of my personal estate I give and bequeath unto my said nephew Jn Buck and do constitute and appoint him the said Jn Buck sole executor of this my last will and testament and I do hereby revoke all former wills by me made witness my hand and seal this 18.6.1715 Dorothy Ludgater signed sealed published and declared by the above said Dorothy Ludgater to be her last will and testament in the presence of us who in the presence of her have hereunto set our hands as witnesses hereunto Clopton Alleyn Geo Alleyn Jn Alleyn
