memorandum I Wm Kent of White Colne in the county of Essex yeoman being aged and infirm in body but of a sound and perfect mind and memory thanks be to god do make this my last will and testament in manner following hereby revoking all former wills by me made viz imprimis I give and devise unto Kath Kent my dear and loving wife and to her heirs forever all that my messuage or tenement with all the lands tenements and hereditaments whatsoever as well freehold as copyhold thereunto belonging with their and every of their appurtenances situate lying and being in White Colne aforesaid and Colne Engaine in the said county of Essex or in one of them and now in my own occupation and also one tenement thereunto belonging now in the occupation of Benj Moore with the appurtenances and also all other my freehold and copyhold lands and tenements whatsoever in the said county of Essex which said copyhold lands and tenements I have surrendered to the use of my will upon condition that the said Kath my wife her heirs or assigns shall and do pay or cause to be paid the several legacies herein after mentioned viz I give and bequeath unto my nephew Thos Kent of Colne Engaine aforesaid the sum of 20li to be paid within six months next after my decease item I give and bequeath the sum of 30li to my nephew Thos Kent's three children viz Thos Eliz and Sarah 10li apiece to be paid within six months next after my decease item I give and bequeath unto my niece Mary Eley widow of Thos Eley of Messing the sum of 30li to be paid unto her within six months next after my decease item I give and bequeath the sum of 10li to her son Thos Eley to be paid within six months after my decease item I give unto Jn Page of Earls Colne the sum of 10li to be paid within six months after my decease item I give unto my servant Dan Newman the sum of 5li to be paid within six months after my decease item all the rest and residue of my goods chattels bills bonds ready monies stock and personal estate whatsoever and wheresoever after my debts legacies funeral charges and probate of this my will shall be satisfied paid and discharged I give and bequeath unto the said Kath my loving wife whom I nominate and appoint sole executrix of this my last will and testament in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the 6.1.1727 etc. signed sealed published and declared by the testator in our presence and after in his presence attested and subscribed by us Mary Lasst (may be Mary Lasst) Susan Bunten Jn Newton Wm Kent
