I the within named Jn May do by this my codicil will and appoint that in case my son Jn May refuse to pay the sum of 80li to Jn Page for which I am bound jointly with my son Dan Smith that then it shall be lawful for the said Jn Page to seize and enter upon and enjoy any or all the said messuages tenements or lands bequeathed unto my son Jn May by my within written will until the said 80li be fully discharged and hereby ratifying and confirming my said will I do declare this codicil to be part thereof in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hands and seal this 29.6.1737 Jn May signed sealed published and declared by the said Jn May as part of his last will and testament in the presence of us who have subscribed our names as witnesses in his presence and at his request Rich Stringer Jn Pratt Jn Hatch
