I Eliz Dell of Earls Colne in the county of Essex widow, being in poor health but through divine favour, sound in mind memory and understanding, believe it right to dispose of my little property in the following manner, and do declare this my last will and testament (that is to say) first I give and bequeath unto Maria Dell daughter of my son in law Joseph Hagan Dell the sum of £10 to and for her own use absolutely also I give and bequeath the sum of £1 to each of the other children of my said son in law Joseph Hagan Dell to and for their own use absolutely also I give and bequeath to each of the children of my son in law Robt Dell the sum of £1 to and for their own use absolutely also I give and bequeath to Jn Evens son of my daughter Christiana Evens the sum of £2 to and for his own use and disposal absolutely and my will and desire further is that the above legacies shall be paid as soon as conveniently may be after my decease also I give and bequeath to Ann Crow of the parish of Totham in the county of Essex widow the sum of £5 to be paid to her by my executor hereinafter named in such proportions and at such times as he in his discretion shall think fit also I give and bequeath to Rich Latimer Dell my silver watch made by Edw Powell Bristol requesting him to give it to the before mentioned Jn Evens when he shall think fit also I give and bequeath my gold seal engraved J. D. to my grandson Joseph Dell now at Acworth School all the rest and residue of my estate and effects of that nature kind or quality soever the same may be, which I may be possessed of at the time of my decease, including £200 in the hands of my son in law Joseph Hagan Dell which I request may be paid to my executor within twelve months after my death, after the payment of my just debts funeral expenses and the probate of this my last will and testament I give and bequeath one half part of the same or one half share thereof to my son Rich Latimer Dell of Earls Colne aforesaid miller and for his own use absolutely, the other half part thereof I give and bequeath the same to my executor hereinafter named upon trust and confidence nevertheless, and to the intent and purpose, that he his executors or administrators shall pay the interest of proceeds thereof to my daughter Christiana Evens wife of Benjamin Evens half yearly as the same shall become due during the term of her natural life and my will and desire further is that her receipt alone shall be full and sufficient discharge to my executor for the same, and after her decease my will and desire further is, that the said one half part or share of the residue as aforesaid given to my executor in trust, shall be paid to the child or if more than one, to the children of my said daughter Christiana Evens which she may leave at her decease, share and share alike to be paid to them as they may respectively attain the age of twenty-one years, and in case my said daughter Christiana Evens shall die without leaving lawful issue, then and in that case I give and bequeath the said half share or part of the residue of my estate as aforesaid unto my son Rich Latimer Dell to him his heirs and assigns and I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my said son Rich Latimer Dell sole executor to this my last will and testament and hereby revoking all former will or wills by at any time heretofore made do declare this to be my last will in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 27.5.1829 Eliz Dell signed sealed published and declared by the said testator in the presence of us who at her request in her presence and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as witnessed hereof Wm Impey Charlotte Dowsett
