this is the last will and testament of me Mary Wickham of Earls Colne in the county of Essex widow of which I nominate and appoint my friends Robt Levitt of Copford and Wm Impey of Earls Colne my joint executors first I give to my niece Eliz Winter all the furniture belonging to the small parlour at the end of the house also that in the chamber over the same including the bed and bedding except the chest of drawers in the chamber in lieu of which I give her the double chest of drawers in my chamber and my clock I give to my niece Rebecca Winter the bedstead and bed furniture with the bed and bedding in the chamber over the kitchen also the glass in the same chamber and the small chest of drawers in my chamber I give to my niece Hannah Winter the bedstead with morine furniture and the large bed and bedding on the same in my chamber with the small chest of drawers in the chamber over the end parlour also the looking glass in my chamber I give to my niece Deborah Wood wife of Adam Wood of Bishops Storford the flock bed under the bed in my chamber and the small feather bed laid with the same also the chest of drawers in the chamber over the kitchen and my watch I give to my niece Mary Anne Funstone six tea spoons and a pair of sugar tongs marked M.F. I give to my niece Eleanor Funstone a table spoon and two dessert spoons I give and bequeath all my wearing apparel to be equally divided between my four nieces viz Eliz Winter Rebecca Winter Hannah Winter and Deborah Wood share and share alike I give and bequeath all my household linen to be equally divided between my six nieces viz Eliz Winter Rebecca Winter Hannah Winter Deborah Wood Mary Anne Funstone and Eleanor Funstone share and share alike I give to my niece Susanna Kirkham six tea spoons marked K I give to Robt Impey son of my friend Wm Impey my dial barometer and it is my will that all the rest and residue of my furniture and other effects not herein specially given be sold by auction or otherwise disposed of as may appear best to my executors and from the proceeds thereof and other monies I may die possessed of and that may be due to me at my decease after the payment of my just debts and the expenses attending the execution of this will it is my wish that the sum of £5 of lawful money be given to my nephew Jn Winter and £5 to my niece Hannah Winter I also give £5 to be divided amongst the children of my late nephew Wm Winter which I request may be paid into the hands of their aunt Eliz Winter to be given them or laid out by her for their benefit at her discretion I give and bequeath to my niece Eliz Winter the sum of £15 and it is my will that the rest and residue of my property after the payment of the before mentioned legacies be equally divided between my four nieces here after named viz Eliz Winter Rebecca Winter Hannah Winter and Deborah Wood share and share alike and it is further my will that my said executors shall not be accountable for more money than shall come to their hands respectively nor for any loss except the same shall be wilful and I do hereby declare this to be my last will and testament in confirmation whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 21.3.1834 Mary Wickham signed sealed published and declared by the said testatrix as her last will in the presence of us who at her request and in her presence have subscribed our names as witnesses thereof Phoebe Skinner Mary Owers
