this is the last will of me Thos Constable of Earls Colne Essex farmer I give devise and bequeath to my dear wife Mary Constable (subject to the payment of my just debts) all that my copyhold estate called Eight Acres and also all that my copyhold estate called Bower Field situate in Earls Colne aforesaid and all other my copyhold freehold and leasehold estate whatsoever and also all my farming stock and crops household furniture goods monies and property whatsoever to hold to my said wife her heirs executors and administrators according to the nature and tenure of the same estates and property respectively but in case my said wife shall die in my lifetime then I give devise and bequeath the same estates and all my property whatsoever unto Fred Freshfield of Harwich Essex gentleman Wm Freshfield of the same place surgeon and Caroline Bullard Freshfield of the same place spinster equally between them as tenants in common and not as joint tenants and to their heirs and assigns forever in like manner according to the nature and tenure of the same estates respectively and I appoint my said wife together with the said Fred Freshfield executrix and executor of this my will to which I have set my hand and seal this 26.5.1836 mark Thos Constable signed sealed published and declared by the said testator Thos Constable as and for his last will in the presence of us who in his presence at his request and in presence of each other have subscribed our names as witnesses H.H.
