Copyhold of Earldom - quitrent 5s Wm Phil Honywood 3.11.1852 on surrender of Rich Oliver Johnson To all that croft of land called Vicarage Pightle containing 1a35p heretofore parcel of the lands belonging to the Vicarage of Earls Colne aforesaid, which said piece of land was under the provisions of the Act of 55Geo3 cap 147, amended by subsequent Acts - by a deed of exchange bearing date 29.10.1841 and presented and enrolled at a court held for the said manor 2.11.1841 exchanged for a certain croft lying at the back of the vicarage and containing by estimation 4a1r13p and which last mentioned piece of land, by the said exchange became freehold - and the said first mentioned piece became copyhold of this manor, and subject to the annual payment of 5s quitrent
