Edw Champney late of Earls Colne labourer at this sessions was indicted for that on 1.11.9Jas1 at Earls Colne viis et armis one sheet to the value of 6d of the goods of Hen Bridge and did there take it etc and Edw Champney came from the gaol to the bar and argued that he had not done it and petitioned was not guilty and was to be whipped
