Francis Newton holdeth of the lord to him and to his heirs by copy by virtue of the lord's grant one cottage lately builded upon parcel of the waste ground of this manor containing in length 28y of land and in breadth at the one head 10y and at the other head 9y and half abutting at the one head towards the north and the other head towards the court and lieth in length between the land appertaining to the tenement called the Hayhouse of the one part towards the east and to the highway there leading from the village of Colne aforesaid towards the late disparked park of the other part towards the west by fealty suit of court and by the yearly rent of 6d payable as is aforesaid (425a) as appeareth in the court roll of this manor 28Eliz1
