text: Longmein - Totok.
text: Formerly Chui and Totok at war - Longmein were allies of Chui and got involved - in Lambert's time took 2 heads of Totok - since then a state of submerged war (see file in Mokokchung for previous history) - damaged crops - last year - an occurence but this year nothing (Blah said Rs. 400/- or Rs. 200/- plus 1 buffalo) 'free - a column due to go' - a fresh outbreak expected. Chui burnt 8 field houses of Totok this March (15th March) - Totok had encroached on Chui in Blah's time - Blah fined Totok Rs 200/- a year ago - this year prohibited from going on Chui's land and did not but this year Chui went to Totok's land & burnt the field houses and their stocks - 21/- in Wakching for both. (Longmein came in on 22/3 and offered to pay the fine - brought in Rs. 200/- - the buffalo is in the village - I refused to accept it [discuss with Pawsey])
