text: | Kotsenyu. The village wall (fortifications) had obviously been very recently repaired and trimmed - the Rengmas said 'for cattle' but when I said 'for Angami cattle' they laughed and did not deny it. Rengmas - fear of an Angami Raj on the one hand and an Assam Raj on the other - the latter the lesser of the 2 evils. |
