text: The revised agreement clarified and expanded not taken - only the 9 clauses as redrafted at Mokokchung. Nehru's secretary, Tarlok Singh, put them off and sent them to Ramadhyani - all the hill tribes must be on the same level - if Nagas demand accepted others would want same - Ramadhyani refused to accept the new last clause - tried 3 mornings to see Nehru - failed - then wrote a letter and got an appointment at 12 on 7/8. Nehru said since the agreement was between the Nagas and the Governor, the Governor was the one to modify it. Longri said - if not accepted the Nagas would take their own way - Nehru got angry - said India could not be split into a 100 pieces - Nagas got angry with him - Nehru said if they fought we will resist.
