Re rum - no objection in practice - possibly because when administered by an official, it is less a drink than a sacrament! Smoking frowned on by the mission - but here also fairly common among Christians. |

Christianity triumphed among Aos and Semas - Angamis, Rengmas, Lhotas, had some small initial success, but since then very few. In fact the tribal cultures seem to have possessed a much greater toughness than anyone thought possible - Mills' forbodings not fulfilled. |
