text: My dear Bill,
text: Now that Dominion status is imminent it was not altogether a surprise to me when H.E. told me this morning, I really think with sincere regret, that the ministry had declared me a persona non grata and had demanded my departure.
text: I should do more harm than good to the Hills by staying, since everything I say is suspect, merely because I say it. I am therefore taking leave from Aug. 1st. The official reason is family health, which is a good way from being true.
text: Adams may succeed me, with a somewhat different layout.
text: Keep the real reason to yourself .... Philip (Mills)
