The Advisory Govt. Committee have jibbed at the road to M'chung and are giving you a miss. So any Konyak they see will have to be dragged in to Margherita. We must settle this Konyak business at the conference. H.E. quite definately considers any 'isolationism' for the Hills or any scheme by which they would 'leap-frog' Assam and join only the centre impossible on geographical and every other ground. On the other hand Assam might be the agent of the union, which would mean ultimate control from the centre. H.E. is definately out for a fair deal.. |
