text: It had also been hoped that the new S.D.O. could be appointed and that he could come on this tour and discuss plans for the development and control of the area. But his posting is also a victim of the present administrative upheaval. A young Lushai has just been appointed to the Government of India executive service and he is to succeed Pawsey as D.C. of Kohima although he has had no experience. The young Angami Naga officer, Zopianga, who it was hoped would become the S.D.O. of Tuensang, has just been appointed to the Provincial Service Class II. He, although he has years of experience, will only receive half the pay of the Lushai who is no better qualified and he has naturally protested. His appointment is therefore also pending.
