text: Pottery. Previously we had seen a man doing pottery. This craft is a male activity among the Eastern Angami. The pot of dark-grey clay was almost finished and was set on a stool. The man moved around the stool in a hunched posture and was smoothing the post with a spatula. In the meantime his wife was crushing old pots into powder with the help of a stone.
