text: Towards eleven it started to pour. I said goodbye to Mills who was going to Blah's office but actually I could not start until about one. Because I still had to go to the Post Office it actually was half past one when I finally left the village of Mokokchung. Nlamo who had arrived from Kohima yesterday accompanied me. At first we walked very briskly and covered four miles an hour. After a while it started to rain again but we hardly got wet. At five thirty we had reached Mongsenyimti which is thirteen miles away from Mokokchung and the gaonburas were already waiting for us on the way with some rice beer. I was so hot that I drank a lot. The supper which Tsampio cooked for me was quite all right but I was missing Mills company. The time together with him had been so very nice and pleasant.
