text: Near Chuchu-Yimlang several gaonburas were expecting us in a rest house with some rice beer. I asked them about the Ao's main deity, Lichaba, but was not told anything new, only a verification of what Mills said. They insist that Lungkizungba is identical with Lichaba. In Ungr we also had a reception and were taken into a house. Here I heard the variation that Lichaba first created the plains and made it all smooth, then he made Nagaland but while doing so he started having stomach pains and rushed his job so that now all is hilly and torn up.
