text: At the summit where there is a small clearing we were greeted by a group of Chingmei warriors in splendid battle outfit with hornbill bird feathers in their hats, long daos on their backs and covered with shell ornaments. All are well-built strong men who look more splendid than any of the Naga I have seen so far as though the ornaments worn by the Konyaks may be still more impressive there are few Konyak who are physically equal to these Chang men
