text: | Immediately on the ridge the path to the peak of Mount Yakko branches off and twenty four men with a number of coolies climb the summit in order to establish the heliographic connection to Mokokchung. They are supposed to stay there for the next fourteen days (212) and build a small fort. At first the path declines sharply from the ridge but as soon as we step out of the forest a wide cultivated valley opens up at the end of which is Chingmei. |
