Camp near Pangsha 25/11/1936. |

Got up again in the middle of the night and left the camp at sunrise. It was the most beautiful morning we had seen so far on this tour. The summits of the Patkoi with their foothills were drawn in pale blue against the brightly shining sky. We looked far to the south along the Langnyu Valley and far in the distance Panso is pointed out on a mountain ridge. It seems improbable to me that we can reach it from Chingmei in a day. Towards the direction of Chingmei the village of Noklak (236) has two ditches but no especially good palisade. Before we get to the village we see a group of corpse platforms in the jungle on which coffins seem to be placed. An outlook on a tree is a bit outside the village, another one immediately at the entrance |
