text: Yukao is a friendly, clean village with nicely looking friendly inhabitants. The contrast to the pathetic Chentang where every second person has a huge goitre is startling. The houses are covered with grass, at least I cannot see any slates although these made possibly be hidden underneath the grass. In an open space there is a huge drum with open ends of the Pangsha type. Instead of the slit on top it has only two holes. We can talk a man into playing a few bars on it which allows me to take a picture
