text: In all his happiness Dzeamang is so talkative (80) that he tells me of a small misdeed committed by Metlou the gaonbura of his morung. Apparently around the time when the Bala burnt down either before or just after he secretly took a laya which belonged to the morung. When he was somehow discovered he had to pay a fine of one pig and Rs 10 which took care of the affair. But he still is a bit ashamed of himself and therefore did not accompany the other Bala boys to get the head.
