text: The other men in the meantime had tied together small bamboo sticks in the manner of pan-pipes, and into each pipe they had stuck some blades of a tough cutting grass. The boys and young men now ran to the village fence with such a flat bundle each in their hands and threw the bundles over the fence into the jungle to throw away symbolically all bad luck attached to the dead enemy.
