text: Most fields of Tanhai have already been cleared and the remaining wood has been put up in piles which are leaning against the numerous trees in the fields. Until the rice starts to sprout the wood will probably already have been used up. It is remarkable that in the whole area of Tanhai and Oting and Wangla there are no wood stores but the wood is stored instead in the houses. Planting is now in full gear.
