text: The sun was quite hot already on our climb up to Wakching (147) but a cool breeze made it quite endurable. After a walk of only three and three quarter hours, including all rests, I arrived in Wakching where supposedly Dr Vieyera also had arrived, the Civil Surgeon of Kohima. Naturally the rest of the day was spent putting my things in order and taking care of my accumulating mail.
