text: (155) Quarrels are sometimes settled by taking oaths (dzieng-bu).
text: The two parties cut a cane into two pieces and each of them takes one piece home. If in the house of one of them somebody dies within two months, it is evident that he has sworn false and he must pay a fine to the other. Nowadays such oaths are never taken.
