text: Shillong, 24th August
text: The day was spent mainly in settling my Nagaland and NEFA programme and writing letters. S.D. Lahkar took me in the morning to a small Shiva temple, built round a cave with a lingam. An altogether unimpressive establishment. An old Brahman from Bihar is in charge, and there were a good many worshippers, as today is a Hindu holiday.
text: Met a Mr. Nair who is Government's Secretary for Nagaland with an office in Kohima.
text: There was a dinner party with the Rustomjis and another nice couple, Mr. and Mrs. Krishnatri of the NEFA service.
