text: In December the village elders decide where the new jhums are going to be cleared. If in one area there is not enough room for all villagers, another area will be chosen in addition. It may happen that a man from another village who is short of jhum land wants to cultivate on Laisong land. He must apply to the Laisong elders and his request may be granted or refused. There seems to be some clan land and the respective areas of Indiame, Henume and Nkame (sic) are pointed out. But this land is not cultivated exclusively by clan members, but others cultivate too.
