text: To Khonoma with the Commissioner. Sokrele the Thevoma G.B. brought in a split fire brand with a chili in it which he had been given by a Kuki chief Satchu in Impama in Manipur where he had gone to trade. This was a symbol that the Kukis intended to resist the Sarkar and wished the Nagas to help them. It had been offered to Kenoma 5 days before but they had refused it.
text: Merema raised the question of their house sites round the fort and Semoma that of two house sites by their demolished dahu. I said that neither question would be considered at present, but if at any time the guard was withdrawn the question of their reoccupying the sites might be considered then.
