text: To Dimapur with Major Vickers, entrained for Gauhati.
text: 29th June
text: To Shillong. Started out in Major Vickers side-car, but it broke down on the road. We put it into carts and got a lift back to Gauhati in a private car coming down and then started up again by the late service.

text: Halted Shillong. Was informed that the conference which was fixed for the first was postponed to July 4th. It was not my fault that I arrived too soon.
text: 1st July to 3rd July
text: Halted Shillong to wait for the conference. Saw the Deputy Inspector General who went into those parts of the plans that affected the Naga Hills directly.

text: Attended a conference on the Kuki rebellion from 11.30 to 2.0.
