text: To Thecholumi, about 10 miles, which I re-counted. Numbers of the houses here carved with bats which I do not remember to have seen elsewhere. The village very rich in rice, and healthy in spite of very bad mosquitoes, a prosperous but secluded community, hardly going anywhere and ignorant of the nearest villages in Manipur.
